Users review: A very unconventional film that spends a lot of genres (murder / thriller / thriller / drama / fantasy), defies normal expectations and intense emotional experience. From the beginning you informed when the main character will be killed and who the murderer is, but still kept on the edge of the chair and surprised by subsequent discoveries. The story fits between reality (before and after the murder) and surreal afterlife realm between heaven and earth. Although tragic, poignant and dark matter, the film is uplifting, captivating and hauntingly beautiful throughout. As the credits rolled, I ran through the gamut of emotions and find aspects of the film struck me much later. It is difficult to imagine as to why this movie was extremely criticized. I can only assume that the story is not closely follow the source material (I have not read the book) or viewers appreciate the story being told from the perspective of girl, 13 years of age or critics were just being spiteful to successful director (directed by Peter Jackson and produced by Steven Spielberg). Positive (a) Original, imaginative, creative / script history. (B) an authentic, well-prepared, engaging characters. (C) an exciting and entertaining from start to finish. (D) The visual work of art - and the prospect of the film and the prospect of CGI / special effects. Definitely needed in the visualization (Blu-ray) HD. It affects the transparency note of the rapid, complete and correct dialogue delivery. Way harder than it seems.And character she plays Francis, is one of those sweet types, where things do not go quite right even with all the best intentions. Most of us identify with that all too well. We are improving, and we have a reality where these good intentions got us. Yet she perseveres. She picks up a strange but not unfriendly people around here in one apartment after another, and we get an idea about young New Yorkers with all their claims of minors. Searing and funny and scared touching.Dont a strange name (one error in making the film) or the beginning of his slow, low-key black and white. The film makes the most of all that is awesome.

So, after watching Despicable Me (the original) on numerous occasions at home - love and death, this film was a big disappointment for me and my daughters cinema. Its been hard for me to put a finger on exactly what was missing, but I think it's mainly the lack of intelligent dialogue, ingenious that filled the first film. There are many funny moments in this film, though, are mostly sight gags and jokes. And unfortunately, the space between these times was not very intriguing. FYI, my girls (10:07) was inadequate - even though my youngest asked to get on DVD or iPhone, so you can play the few parts they thought this was a great sequel liked.I potential - especially in the character of Lucy, but most of this potential just squandered. The villain is portrayed with a very stereotypical caricature and PC, and unlike the vector (the villain of the first film), there seems no reason. The plot was actually hurt a little 'fear, instead of fun, and the characters seem to spend a lot of time doing things that just were not as interesting and say things that simply were not as funny.All In Finally, a real disappointment for our trip a once-in-a-blue-moon to the theater.

Users review: From the trailer, I had high hopes for this film to break extravaganza delivers with great humor and unique premise. Unfortunately, this was one of those cases where the trailer is better than the movie itself.To be fair, the film has its moments. The comedy ever made me laugh aloud, but there are amusing lines and situations altogether. Some of the most entertaining moments come from the interaction between the characters and clever gag where everyone sees different people. As far as the action goes, there is quite a bit of mass destruction and lots of shoot-outs and fights. It's very manic, and outlandish cartoons over-the-top. The overall tone feels really uneven, the film was pretty serious at times, deadpan others, and during the rest of the time. I was never bored, but I was never involved or invested in things.It is a shame for all, because the film has some unique ideas here and there. The general premise of dead police department is pretty neat, they use a lot of cool weapons, and they have some really fun ideas and rules. It is a strange world where Indian food causes the common pop dead horse in hair samples (if you remember the beginning of Van Helsing, with Mr. Hyde ... pretty much all monsters look like, perhaps crossed with the zombies from I Am Legend). Everyone perceives the two main characters as hot blonde chick and old Chinese man. Sounds fun, right? For whatever reason, it comes off as an unnecessary attempt to build a comedy to a stranger, it worked so well for men in black films, but all this is rather flat in RIPD.The overall story is pretty fast and compact. It does a fine enough job of introducing the characters, slap together, and try to have a dynamic chemistry between them. However, the plot is pretty standard fare, and never take the time to really invest the audience in the world portrays. This shows just enough plot to work, but it does not explain much, never build on the things that touch short, and we never really care.The film uses many stylish camera moves, zooms fast and slow effects motion, you can either look really cool or as very stupid. Editing is okay in general. Acting is a mixed bag: Ryan Reynolds is strangely flat and emotionless throughout, except for a few love scenes, while Jeff Bridges steals the show once again in a role that almost seems to parody his role from True Grit. Kevin Bacon is pretty much himself, and I love watching Mary-Louise Parker. Writing is not as great. This production uses Okay sets, props and costumes. Special effects look cool, but on the cheaper side. Music is hip and fun.In the end, I could not help but think of other films and how much better they are than RIPD. For stories involving parallel worlds between the worlds of life and death, I could not help but to think that Bleach Anime has a better story, and the TV series Dead Like Me was funnier. For this concept with the perfect combination of action and comedy, the two Hellboy films are perfectly efficient.
