Users review: Frances Ha (2012) I liked this film a kind of interested and warm as it began. His black-and-white simplicity and ordinary people turn to the most normal level. The more I looked, but androgen, the more I absorbed luster performance leading character Frances (Greta Gerwig), I was fascinated and shocked. It's a great movie. Great independent film with no pretensions, but held together entirely within their means.This worth making clear? The film is due to its simple approach. You never feel that it is technically broken. Image is subtle, smart black and white. Theres also a scene at the end where two people are talking in bed, and they decided to use the least light, so you barely see their faces. Gorgeous and effective.Its Gerwig who steals the movie, for sure. And she helped write a really sparkling, trustworthy, intelligent, but never too-smart screenplay. Its brilliant stuff, really. It affects the transparency note of the rapid, complete and correct dialogue delivery. Way harder than it seems.And character she plays Francis, is one of those sweet types, where things do not go quite right even with all the best intentions. Most of us identify with that all too well. We are improving, and we have a reality where these good intentions got us. Yet she perseveres. She picks up a strange but not unfriendly people around here in one apartment after another, and we get an idea about young New Yorkers with all their claims of minors. Searing and funny and scared touching.Dont a strange name (one error in making the film) or the beginning of his slow, low-key black and white. The film makes the most of all that is awesome.
